2021 Annual Meeting
Date(s) - October 20, 2021 - October 22, 2021
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Victoria annual meeting format is changing once again. The committee and TSSRM officers have had to redesign the meeting in anticipation of likely limitations on meeting space due to the Covid variant while preserving our financial commitments. We have put together a hybrid format including some virtual/some live events.
We are planning an evening gala honoring our award winners. We’ve got an amazing evening planned October 21 at Diebel Cattle Company, a historic 5th generation coastal prairie ranch. We will have a yummy meal (fresh Gulf shrimp and steak) cocktails, music, award winners, even a few of the top collegiate three minute professional presentations.
The next day, October 22, we will tour not one, but two ranches honored for their outstanding rangeland stewardship, including the 2021 Outstanding Rangeland Stewardship winner, Parks Ranch. We will have lunch near the historic Presidio La Bahia in Goliad.
So, join us for a fun gala and tour! The Coastal Prairie rangelands are amazing and we are committed to having FUN!
Some collegiate contests will take place virtually…..stay tuned for those details. Hopefully we can have a full slate of activities in Denton in 2022. We recognize the need to get our student members the opportunity to share their research and sharpen their presentation skills. Obviously a number of our usual activities will not happen.
Registration will be $40 for the gala, $30 for the tour or $60 for both. Hilton Garden Inn is still HQ hotel. Give us a minute to get the on line registration re-tooled. We will post here and get a range flash out as soon as the link is ready.
Thanks for your patience. This committee has embraced creativity and arranged this entire meeting twice already. We hope the third time is the charm! Of course, changing conditions could mean more modifications.
